In the Victorian Era, how a lady fluttered a fan was more than just a way of keeping cool...It was a subtle way of communicating with a potential suitor. A handle touched to the lips invited a kiss. The top of the fan skimming the eyes expressed regret or sorrow.

Since they were used to communicate with, it was only natural that the fan evolved into some of the first greeting cards.

All of our Fan Greeting Cards are die-cut and embossed in great detail on heavy eighteen point stock, just as the original were fromthe turn-of-the-century.
